Bid & Proposal Con (BPC) 2021 is right around the corner and lucky for us, BPC is located in Denver this year. BPC is the largest conference in the world for proposal, bid, tender, capture, business development, and graphics professionals and will be held on October 10-13.
We are excited to be back attending events and conferences after a long year without them. In addition to seeing new and familiar faces, we’re most looking forward to these four sessions:
- “Finding a Balance Between Work and Home While Working From Home” is a session hosted by Gina Kutsch, the Senior Director of Proposals at OnSolve. The pandemic created a new meaning entirely for what it means to work from home. Working from home provides professionals flexibility, but it can also be difficult to create boundaries when your home is transformed into your office.
- Ombud’s Vice President of Growth, Kayla Kirkeby, is looking forward to the session on “Alignment of Marketing, BD, Proposals, Pricing, and Sales to Increase Profitability” by Russell Smith. Smith is the current president of Organizational Communications Inc. “Alignment between core functions is so critical. Every organization we interact with is looking for ways to drive growth and profitability. This session will be incredibly topical,” Kirkeby said.
- “Proposal Process Pandemonium - The Effects of the Pandemic” will be hosted by Megan Tiernan and is a great opportunity to learn more about all the ways COVID-19 impacted the proposal business internationally and ways companies adapted to all of the challenges of 2020 and beyond. Tiernan is the Global Head of Proposal Management at Collibra and the Vice President of Programming at the United Women in Business Foundation.
- On October 13th, we are excited to attend the session on “Structured Review Process to Produce Compliant and Compelling Proposals'' hosted by Christine Sowinski. Sowinski is the Proposal Manager at Kiewit, one of North America's largest construction and engineering organizations. Sowinski was listed in APMP’s 40 Under 40 class list of 2020. At Ombud, our machine learning will always find the best content for your sales documents and we are always looking for ways to create more compelling proposals for our clients.
In addition to the sessions, there are plenty of hands-on certifications and networking opportunities we are excited to attend. To learn more about the keynote speakers and information on how to register, visit APMP’s website.
